Writing from my heart

Lead Writer, The Columbus Book Project

This collaborative of self-publishing a book set was an endeavor that changed my life. Not only did I get to fall in love with the city I just moved to, but I wrote my heart out to share the visceral experiences I had along the way. What a joy it was to work alongside the ambitious women in our power team Design Council, as we scrappily started a business and produced extraordinary content about our great city.

I joined the team near its beginning and powered through ‘til our outrageous book launch at the Columbus Museum of Art. Throughout the journey, I led the writers in creating content, drafted and edited campaign materials, copyedited all first drafts, and organized the writing team to stay on schedule and maintain tone and quality. I also contributed about 20 original pieces + section intros, myself.

A sampling of my stories is below.

This work was not done alone. Thank you to my collaborators—designers, project managers, scrum masters, supervisors, and everyone else—for your talent, guidance, and hearts. I appreciate you.
